What is EA looking for?

We are looking for an experienced Development Director to join the tEAm. We want someone who is adaptable to change and continuous improvement, who is proactive and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.

What will my key responsibilities be?

- Provides supervision to the development team including training and coaching staff for improved performance, evaluating performance and recognizing achievements.
- Maintains regular communication with team and key stakeholders to provide project status updates; encourages others to express their point of view.
- Builds and maintains effective working schedules to ensure achievement of project development milestones.
- Manages change requests and obtains appropriate approvals; advises key stakeholders on the impact of each change request on project schedule, budget, and resources.

What technical skills and experience do I need?

- Strong listening and communication skills - able to communicate team and project goals in a clear, concise and strategic manner.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills - able to work on complex problems where analysis of situations requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
- Excellent negotiation, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Minimum 4 years software development experience or other related experience; minimum 2 year project management or team leadership experience.
- Able to interpret design documents and project schedules to establish and communicate scope.
- MS Office and MS Project proficiency.
- Strong people management skills including the ability to clearly communicate performance expectations and provide regular feedback to improve employee performance; capable of managing performance and professional development of direct reports.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects, including establishing project plan, determining task dependencies, and assigning tasks to team.

Additional Qualifications:

- An avid gamer with a passion for creating AAA titles for the industry leader.
- Previous experience shipping AAA rated games.
- Experience with both PC, console and next gen console development teams and development challenges.
