Employee or Contractor?
Anyone applying for a position like this should first consult the ATO's Employee/Contractor decision tool - available here: http://calculators.ato.gov.au/scripts/axos/axos.asp?CONTEXT=&KBS=GEC.xr4...
If your employer is providing a place of work, tools for completing the job, and paying you an hourly rate, then you are probably not a contractor. You are an employee and as such you are entitled to 9% superannuation, holiday pay and sick leave. If you do not receive these benefits as an employee you should contact the Australian Tax Office.
