AIE is seeking a motivated game programmer who has a passion for passing on game development knowledge to a wide audience from experienced game industry professionals to undergraduates.
This is position is based in Sydney but would also suit a Canberra-based applicant looking to move to Sydney within the next six months.
You will be working with cutting-edge MMOG middleware technology in a specific cutting edge game engine and tools used in game development.
Highly developed communication skills and a sense of humour are valued in our team. This is a permanent position with a 3 month probation period. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a generous salary package which is negotiable depending on experience.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Ability to teach complex concepts in an engaging way
- Excellent communication skills

- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to work autonomously and meet individual deadlines within a team environment
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt new technology
- Understanding of SQL and databases for games,
- Strong C/C++, python knowledge
- Understanding of Linux, windows, game engines, and networking.
Desirable Skills and Knowledge:
- Commitment to quality assurance
- Knowledge of the vocational education and training sector
- Knowledge of MMO game engines
- Games industry experience
- Experience with version control systems
- Experience in cross-platform development
