Demibooks seeks Junior Web Designer

Demibooks Inc. is a startup specializing in richly interactive books for the iPad and iPhone, and we’re currently looking for a junior web designer in Sydney. Some of the work will be on our actual website, the rest will involve using web presentation technologies to produce compelling book content. This engagement would begin on a short contract, with a view to a permanent placement. We’ve got some big projects coming up, so there’s a real need to expand our team.

Minimum job requirements...
• 1+ year of web design experience
• Experience hand-coding HTML and CSS
• Graphic design ability in Photoshop or Illustrator
• A proven eye for detail
• A portfolio of published work

Big bonus points for...
• Experience with Adobe InDesign
• Experience with Javascript
• Experience making mobile websites
• Experience in mobile app UI design
• Experience in the print or publishing industries
