BigWorld is an Australian company that creates leading middleware MMOG technology. With a growing international market, BigWorld is looking for a PR Manager to be responsible for developing our PR plan to increase our public image and create opportunities. This position would be an independent role where you would be responsible for producing interesting and effective press releases and preparing information for media kits. The successful applicant has more than likely already an established and effective network of partners and media representatives.
Based in the Sydney development studios, you will be responsible for the creation and delivery of all marketing materials and projects to deadlines.

The Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years experience in a marketing environment
• Experience in bringing technically orientated software related products to market
• Up-to-date knowledge of market trends preferably in the Electronic Entertainment Industry, or other technical based industry
• Budget management skills
• Knowledge of market research techniques, data capture and analysis
• Excellent organisational skills, including attention to detail and keeping to tight deadlines. Ability to prioritise workload
• PR and advocacy skills and experience
• Experience of negotiating and dealing with and the management of, suppliers and contractors ie advertising and design agencies, printers, mailing houses etc.
• Experience of launching of projects
• Ability to develop strategy and associated action plans to achieve agreed aims and objectives
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral with the ability to articulate information clearly and concisely.
• Tertiary qualification(s) in a relevant discipline

Desirable skills and knowledge:
• Up-to-date knowledge of market trends in the Games Industry
• Game player with MMOG experience
