Games Programming Tutor required at Qantm Sydney

Qantm College is seeking a casual tutor to assist in the delivery of the Bachelor of Interactive Media (Games Programming Major).

ESSENTIAL

• Competent in C++
• Ability to learn quickly
• Software development/testing experience relevant to games or simulation software
• Ability to recognise well written/structured object oriented code
• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualification and industry experience preferred
• Excellent spoken and written English

THE ROLE
The successful applicant will:

• Interact with students during tutorials
• Offer advice, guidance and general assistance with tutorial activities and major projects
• Identify students requiring extra assistance
• Mark assessments adhering to specified marking criteria
• Provide professional verbal and written feedback to students on their work
• Show awareness of current industry practises and trends
• Research useful software/hardware for use in the Games Industry
• Take direction in the performance of their duties
• Manage their time efficiently and equally amongst students
• Conduct them self in a professional manner
• Show initiative and enthusiasm
