Redtribe is looking for a game application programmer to work on an exciting unannounced game based on our own original IP. The ideal candidate would have at least 2 years' professional software development experience.

The position reports directly Lead Game Programmer

General Duties:

- Implementing game features and systems to deadline.
- Testing, refining, debugging, optimising and maintaining game application functionality.
- Working closely with the tool engineers, game designers and artists to implement gameplay features using C++.
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and architectures.
- Following group standards and best practices.
- Assisting and mentoring other programmers in areas of domain expertise or specialization.

Skills, Abilities and Qualifications

- Excellent C++ programming skills.
- Ability to write clear, maintainable code.
- Ability to work with designers and artists.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including documentation.
- Good interpersonal skills and pleasant personality.
- Strong 3D maths skills.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to estimate schedules and deliver to a deadline.
- Ability to work as part of a team.

Desirable

- Games industry experience or experience working on a mod project and / or working with current game engines.
- C# and other .Net language experience.
- Agile development methodologies experience.
- Test driven development experience.
- Familiarity with version control software.
- Experience with 3D art applications (e.g. 3DS Max, Maya) .

Salary commensurate with Experience.
