TeamXBox E3 Preview of Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal

Company

TeamXBox.com have just put up their E3 preview of Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal by Red Tribe. The previewer goes through the all important visual style as well as the combat and multiplayer components of the game...

WB Games told us that Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal would also come equipped with a Golden Eye-like battle mode, plus nine chapters-worth of story line single player/co-op gaming. There are plans for three vehicle levels and a variety of settings too, including a WWII-style battlefield and a jungle scene.

There's a whole heap of new screenshots over there, so head on over to TeamXBox.com and check it out!

I wonder if any ex-Melbourne House staff who worked on Looney Tunes: Space Race are working on this. That game looked awesome and the cell animation style fit really well.

i'm sorry but the graphics are a mess.. the graphical style leaves a lot to be desired. If this is next gen the I will be damned. looks like another amatuer title from aus dev company.

No way those are screenshots. They're MAX renders. Shadows give it away. They're everywhere :( Nic try ...

Yeah, Xbox cannot produce renders like the screenshot above.

If you look at the resolution of the image and the details of the characters and compare it to shipped titles on 360. Definately renders, not screenshots. I hate it when companies do that. Very nice graphics, very bad marketing because when the game does ship people will be expecting graphics like the screenshots. Shame on you guys!!

You guys must be smoking crack because the screenshots look well in the realms of what an Xbox 360 can achieve.

Hmmm, I'm still not sold on this one. I've yet to see any demonstration of game play mechanics, so I'll reserve judgment until then.

    The gameplay ROCKs!!
I'm not just saying that because I helped make the game. I play it a lot and it's still great fun.

Hope you like what we've done with the game. Other insider info, you get to play deathmatch with the LT characters. Awesome fun. Don't know if I'm alowed to mention that yet.

Nice job. When does this come out Red Triber ?
  • 14. Anonymous - Fri, 27 Jul 2007 18:21:43 EST
It's probably a "marketing (MAX) render." They probably haven't got the gameplay working, and if they have. I wouldn't trust what the developer has to say about how "great" the game is.

It's like a mother seeing her beautiful baby when everyone else sees the elephant man...

Come on guys ... Give it a rest, we just finnished 2 years of hard slog.

We're going GOLD on Monday, then you can see for yourself #14. If it does well, it's a good thing for all Australian development not just REDTRIBE.

No touch-ups, no Max Renders. Those screenshots are also old Wait till you see all the latest stuff with all the normal maps and lighting passes done :)

The game comes out SEPTEMBER 2007.
It tested extremely well in extensive focus testing. It scored very high on gameplay in particular. For the rest, we will just have to wait and see, but it looks good so far.

I just saw the trailers. It's not what I was expecting :) I will get this game. Is there a PS3 version coming out, I can't find it ? If there is I will wait for that, otherwise I will get the Wii version.

    Pretty please ?
