We are seeking a visionary Creative Director our next groundbreaking title. This exciting opportunity will challenge the candidate to raise the creative bar beyond that of our last project, 2007's seminal Bioshock.
The Creative Director will collaborate with our studio's other leads and directors to develop a bold and exciting vision for our next game. The creative director will be able to maintain a holistic and high-level view of the game, and is responsible for ensuring the art, audio and design of the game is imbued with this vision.
The successful candidate will have an excellent grasp of the challenges in non-linear game narratives, and will be responsible for developing deep and compelling themes, characters, back story and narrative devices as befitting 2K Australia's leading reputation. There will be opportunities to work with other leading writers, from Hollywood and within the industry, in order to craft a unique and memorable narrative experience.
The Creative Director will be content focussed, and will be proative in ensuring that the content teams are generating the quality and consistency of material that his or her vision requires. This will involve the casting and direction of voice talent, licensing audio\visual material, and art and audio content review.
The Creative Director is the flag-bearer for the vision of the game and will be expected to champion it externally, as well as to the 2K Australia team and 2K Games. In this role you will be able to speak articulately and be persuasive about why the creative direction is exceptional, generate excitement and enthusiasm, and keep the team creatively focussed and on track. You will also be called apon to engage with marketing in order to actively promote the product.
