By Crom Age of Conan is beginning to come together

After two years working on this project, Age of Conan is finally beginning to look and feel like a game. What I'm most proud of course, is that we've managed to develop a thoroughly unique look and feel for the world itself, on ehtat is faithful to Howards' work.

We've spent a great deal of time fleshing out the respective cutlures past and present, and we've endeavoured to put them into context, showing influences and what not. Moreover, we've striven to make the world look 'lived-in' - the problem with many games, MMO's especially - is that everyting looks as though it was built yesterday. This won't be the case with Age of Conan.

As concept artist I've had the task of designing most of the environments, which I hope to show here soonish, most of the weapons, a fair portion of armour, and the occasional creature. :)

Polish continues and well as the completion of the parts of Hyboria we'll be releasing but I hope these give you some idea of what we''re trying to achieve. Some of the screens don't do the visuals justice and also the game has made great visual strides in the past month with the implementation of new tech:
