3D Artist/Animator for Diversionary Therapy Tech | Brisbane

Diversionary Therapy Technologies (DTT) seeks a 3D Artist (with a focus on animator) to help expand its library of content.

This position is available at our Brisbane office in Toowong. And would be provided as a Contract to complete an upcoming content project.

DTT develops a handheld entertainment system called “Ditto” that provides Diversionary Therapy treatment to children in hospital. Diversionary Therapy is a therapy for a patient that immerses and keeps them engaged in the form of distracting entertainment. To make hospital procedures and the anxiety that leads up to hospital procedures less daunting.

The content DTT develops is focused with a target audience of children to teenagers. And titles developed include stories and games, with rich animations for storytelling and gameplay events.

Skills we would need include:

Experience developing with the art suites

• Autodesk 3D Studio Max
• Adobe Photoshop

3D development skills from concept to completed animations

• Brainstorming, concept sketching and design sketching
• Modelling, UV mapping and texturing
• Rigging, skinning and animating
• Lighting and rendering
• Video compositing and editing
• Game engine exporting experience

An understanding and passion in

• Light and bright artistic styles used for childrens entertainment
• Light-hearted storytelling and animation techniques for childrens entertainment
• Playful concepts that will attract a childs attention
• Working in a team

DTT would provide training in the finer details of the “Ditto” handheld system and the process to exporting animations to it.
