Senior 3D Game Artist.
Work closely with producers, game designers and artists to implement a next-generation game
Create the models, textures and materials for; characters, props, architecture and terrain
Participate in planning milestone delivery schedules for all art assets
Re-create surfaces/materials in Substance Designer/Painter using a PBR workflow based on gathered reference
Participate in establishing and maintaining the highest visual quality bar overall for the game
Ensure the art produced meets the performance and memory requirements of the game engine and the target platforms
Follow Tantalus' standards and best practices
Assist and mentor other artists in your areas of expertise
Skills, Abilities and Qualifications:
8-10 years as a 3D game artist, specifically 3 - 5 years working as a Senior game artist
Expert in Maya, Photoshop, Substance and Z-brush
Ability to generate top-notch art and design in a variety of styles with a portfolio of work demonstrating this
Familiarity with large-scale projects
Demonstrated ability to create and deliver to deadlines
Naturally works as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good interpersonal skills
A genuine enthusiasm and passion for the games industry
Recent console development experience
Experience with JIRA, Perforce, and other project management tools
