Team Bondi

Take Two have released their quarterly financial results which has put some interesting details on Team Bondi's 40's era detective thriller, L.A Noire.

In a feature at the Financial Review, Mad Max and Happy Feet director, George Mlller, says that if the 40% tax rebate for games is given the green light in Australia, he can start the production of two big games here right away. He lists one of the titles as the long rumoured game adaptation of the new Mad Max film which was originally planned for development in Sweden until Miller saw what Team Bondi was capable of with L.A Noire.

Although what's left of Team Bondi has been absorbed into KMM Games in Sydney, former Team Bondi boss and the very outspoken, Brendan McNamara, is working on the next big budget console title. McNamara was in London for the 2011 Bradford Animation Festival for a talk titled "Bringing Humanity To Games" where he discussed the facial technology behind Team Bondi's L.A Noire.

Andrew McMillen took part last weekend in Brisbane for the Emerging Writers Festival in a panel titled “Writing online – How different is writing for an online audience, how can you do it creatively, and what are the challenges and opportunities for writers working in this field?”.
