Hi, this page is under construction... Souri is moving the data off the old Sumea wiki before he nukes the site from orbit, so this is a raw copy of the data and a template. Yes, it looks ugly, but it'll get'n a fixin real shortly.

Next Wave's Independent Game Developer's Conference is back for 2007, presenting another diverse program of events that will explore the intersections between new media art and gaming culture.
Supported by Film Victoria and following on from the successes of Freeplay 2004 and Freeplay 2005, this year's conference will be held over one jam-packed day at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image, Melbourne on Saturday 18th August. Lock it in now!
Ticketing information and further program details will be released in coming months, but as with previous years Freeplay 2007 will be an affordable event delivering keynote lectures from prominent international guests; an investigative lecture program featuring pioneering local speakers; and vital networking opportunities.
The conference is designed to cater for indy and DIY game developers, game modders and mappers, creatively frustrated professionals, game development students, animators, and new media artists. A dedicated Freeplay 2007 blog will be launched by Next Wave in June, but in the meantime please drop us an email at gamers@nextwave.org.au with any ideas you might have for special events or session ideas you would like to see at Freeplay 2007.
