Established in 1996, Qantm College is Australia’s leading private provider of education for the games, animation and creative digital media industries. This is supported by the users of SUMEA who voted Qantm College "Games Educator of the Year" in 2005. The College's Bachelor of Interactive Entertainment is one of the only pure 'games' degree in Australia with students majoring in either animation or games programming. The Bachelor of Applied Multimedia cover most new media design and development including mobile content development.
Qantm College students use industry standard programs and equipment and are taught by industry experienced lecturers. Qantm college qualifications have been designed in conjuction with the digital media industries to ensure that the course content and student outcomes are relevant to industry needs. Animation students have access to a motion capture system and a green screen studio to ensure they are exposed to all contemporary animation techniques. Programmers can use Qantm's own games engine (QGF4) which is based on OGRE with the addition of networking and physics components.
Many Qantm College students are working for games companies both within Australia and overseas as programmers, 3D artists, QA experts and level designers. Multiumedia and garphic design students also have very positive work outcomes, in 2005 80% of Qantm students were working 4 month from completing their studies.
