The Faculty of Science and Technology offers a range of undergraduate courses including single, double and honours degrees. We have a variety of special programs that provide students different pathway options into study including the Dean´s Scholars Program and dual TAFE/QUT awards.
Honours is designed to give talented students research skills for use in the real world. It may act as a stepping stone to a PhD or Masters Degree, or place graduates in a competitive position for entering the workforce. Honours in Science and Technology gives students the opportunity to specialise in a wide range of discipline areas including chemistry, physics, mathematics, environmental science, information technology, biotechnology and biomedical science. As the IT industry has expanded and become more flexible, so has one of Australia’s leading IT course providers. In 2006, QUT’s Bachelor of Information Technology will offer a wider range of majors, and more flexibility for you to combine your IT studies with related disciplines, all within three years.
