Big Ant Studios are planning to expand our Quality Assurance and Game Testing Department with a newly created Player Liaison Officer position. Reporting to the Development Director and working closely with the QA team, the primary responsibility of this role is responding to players support request. The PLO will work more directly on Quality Assurance when support requests are quiet.


  • Manage customer incoming tickets and emails
  • Work with QA to test issues that the customer is reporting and create tickets on how to reproduce
  • Ensure customers are kept updated on progress of issues and potential solutions
  • Follow the Big Ant QA processes, provide embedded support to the development team & set the highest standards in testing to support the requirements of multiple ongoing projects.
  • Methodically recreate bugs and provide accurate information to assist with fixing problems.
  • Regularly execute test cases throughout the project life cycle.
  • Ensure that all tasks are carried out efficiently & all instructions are followed accurately.
  • Provide feedback, suggestions, and improvements to assist with the overall design of the game.
  • Provide assistance where required to the QA Manager, Assistant Producer and Development Director.
  • Quality and functionality evaluation of pre-release, public beta release, and pre-tech versions of software.


  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • A passion for logic and problem solving
  • Working as part of a team and the ability to communicate well with programmers, artists and other specialists.
  • The ability to take ownership of project requirements without constant supervision.
  • Flexible, with the willingness to work outside of normal hours if necessary.
  • Passionate about quality and understanding the importance of QA within the development process.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • A friendly and approachable attitude
  • Computer literacy: strong ability to pick up and adapt to new software quickly.
  • A passion for Sport and sports games a bonus.


  • An interest in traditional sports
  • Previous experience working within the games industry, in a rapidly iterative and responsive working environment.
  • Game development related qualifications
  • Experience of using defect tracking tools and systems. Experience with Hansoft is a bonus.
  • Experience testing games on a variety of platforms is desirable, such as; PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch.
  • Knowledge of Sony TRC’s, Microsoft XR’s & Nintendo Guidelines is desirable.
