Hipster Whale is looking for a talented Social Media Content Creator to help us get started on TikTok! 

Working closely with the marketing team, you’ll develop and execute content on Crossy Road’s social channels, especially TikTok. You’ll be supported with ongoing training and will have the opportunity to experience multiple facets of digital marketing within the games industry. Utilising your knowledge of social trends and great editing skills, you’ll help us create some fun social content for Crossy Road fans all over the world! The role is based in Melbourne, Australia.

This is a 3 month part-time contract, based in Melbourne, Australia. We’re looking for someone who can commit 10-20 hours per week. The exact amount and spread of these hours can be negotiated with the successful candidate - but let us know your preference!

  • Brainstorm content ideas with the marketing team
  • Capture and edit video/audio content 
  • Follow brand and community guidelines 
  • Stay up to date on TikTok trends, updates, and developments
  • Work with the team in evaluating channel metrics and goals regularly
  • Help respond to comments and ensure we are building an engaged and positive community experience for all

About You

  • You use Tiktok regularly and enjoy the platform
  • You’re outgoing and don’t mind being either behind or in front of the camera
  • You know how to create on-brand content that’s appropriate for our audience
  • You are creative and like to experiment with new ideas 
  • You may be studying marketing or game development


  • Experience creating social media content, particularly video content
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for games and a good sense of humour! :)

Critical Info 

  • This is a paid, fixed term position, working 10 to 20 hours per week for a period of 3 months, with the possibility of extension.
  • The role is based in our Melbourne CBD office as we are looking for someone who can come into the studio and work with the team to create behind-the-scenes content. 
  • Hours are flexible and you can choose the days and times that will suit you best. Even though some time in the office will be required, this can work in conjunction with WFH arrangements if preferred. The role would suit a university student still working towards their degree or someone who is simply looking for part-time hours.
