Job Description
Defiant is looking for a Programmer who will design and implement gameplay systems and features. As a key member of the coding team, the Programmer will assist in the full cycle of development: writing and debugging of code, integrating graphics, sound mastering and other networking components of games.

Key Accountabilities
Design and implement gameplay features within an established framework
Design and implement modifications, reorganizations, extensions, and optimizations to existing code base
Work closely with designers and artists to implement their ideas, providing technical, creative, and scheduling feedback; expand and adapt designs to meet project goals.
Provide time estimates to leads and management; keep co-workers informed about progress of programming deliverables as well as non-programming prerequisites for feature implementation.
Must be flexible with schedule changes and shifting timetables
Other duties may be assigned.

Desirables
Tertiary qualifications in a discipline relevant to the position or equivalent experience
3+ years of programming experience
Knowledge of 2D/3D programming
Knowledge of C#, C, C++, Java
Strong math and engineering background

Position Summary
Defiant Development is looking for a Concept Artist who will bring life and nuance to characters and items. Working closely with the Art Director, the Concept Artist will craft and maintain the project’s art style and manage concept art creation.

Key Accountabilities
Craft and maintain the project's art style and manage concept art creation
Translate the vision of the designers to concept art and ensure that all work conforms to the technical and stylistic specifications set forth
Effectively relate vision to developers and artists
Approach systematically all areas of concept art creation
Produce a wide variety of drawings, including character, item and environment, that define the look and function of in-game assets
Work closely with the Art Director, design and project leads to define the style and look of game projects
Create storyboards, sketches, in-game 2D screens, layouts and color compositions

Desirables
Tertiary qualifications in a discipline relevant to the position
Minimum 2 years experience as an artist in the games industry
Strong understanding of interrelation between art and game systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience communicating well with team disciplines and working within existing project constraints (time, scope, technical)
Demonstrated drawing skill to sketch and color organics and non-organics, as well as a good sense of lighting
Good sense of expression, color and form
Strong ability to create uniquely styled characters & environments, and to match & expand on existing styles

Job Description :

The Associate Producer assists and works closely with the Executive Team across Design, Art, and Code on production components of an assigned game title or other project. In this capacity, the Associate Producer may work in partnership with internal and external developers and any third parties to assist the Executive Team in ensuring the timely, high quality delivery of the project or its components.

On a day-to-day basis, the Associate Producer will be responsible for assigned tasks related to game development, including taking responsibility for managing task flow to team members and tracking progress, coordinating QA and usability testing, preparing project related documentation, coordinating with external vendors creating project assets, evaluating project deliverables and providing feedback to the Producer, providing support to Marketing, PR, and other internal publishing functions, and other duties as specified by the Producer.

Key Skills + Responsibilities :

Collaborate with Executive Team to provide motivation, monitor performance, maintain creativity and build cohesive teams
Provide production support to Marketing, PR, and other internal publishing functions as needed
Track production deliverables and improve communications with employees by facilitating scrum methodology in the form of sprint planning, task tracking, stand ups and retrospectives
Track the delivery of assets by external vendors.
Facilitate communication with internal and external developers on key production aspects as determined by the Executive Team
Help to identify project risks and develop mitigation plans with the help of development staff, before they impact the team or production schedule
Coordinate with key personnel across the company to resolve problems or dependencies
Maintain or managing all relevant SKUs through the entire production process
Gather and preparing all assets required for localization processes
Prepare submissions for First Party Evaluation (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, etc.) at key milestones.
Maintain asset pipelines on the production side to ensure timely delivery of assets as required to promote and publish the finished product.
Coordinate QA and Usability Testing
Review and approve employee holiday and sick leave requests and field general employee questions and issues
Facilitate with the aid of HR, training and job growth initiatives for assigned personal as needed/necessary

Requirements :

Two years experience in a production related role.
