Junior 3D Artist

Real Serious Games was established in 2009 and has completed over 200 projects in health, infrastructure, mining, environmental, and social industries. Responsibilities:

• Create high quality, accurate low polygon 3D models and textures based on source material provided. Source material maybe provided as; reference photos, CAD files or technical drawings.

Create assets that fit within polygon and memory budgets based on current generation game engine technology standards.

Work efficiently within a team and independently while delivering tasks on time.

• Take direction and work closely with Art team lead.

Requirements:

• Advanced skills in 3D Studio Max or any other high end 3D modelling software.

• Must be highly proficient using Adobe Photoshop for texture creation and some graphic design work.

• General knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite for basic post-production work.

• Experience working with a variety of game engines and a thorough understanding of the exporting process.

• Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines.

• Possess the ability to quickly learn and adapt to Art production pipelines

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

• Talented and self-motivated with a willingness to learn.

• Portfolio demonstrating your best and most recent work. Art related degree and/or comparable professional experience a bonus but not necessary.

Are you a creative and passionate character artists who is keen to bring his or her characters to life in a mobile strategy game that will make global impact? Then this job is for you.

We are working on our mobile strategy game and we are now looking for 3D character artists to join our team and design the game characters (there will be 116 characters to design).

The role:
This position is opened for hiring two 3D character artists to start immediately (we currently have another artist).

Location:
We prefer the artists to work with us locally in Adelaide; but we are also open to offer position to the artists who can demonstrate great reputation and outcome in remote working.

Why we opened these roles?
We opened these 2 positions for 2 creative, passionate and experienced 3D character artists to join our development team for developing our own mobile real time strategy game which is planned to make a global impact on mobile game market.

About us:
We are a small team of individuals who are experienced and expert in different capacities and are passionate about gaming and digital art; we have great visions and we work hard to meet our goals; we started very small and we are growing fast.

Requirements:
- passionate and creativity are must
- minimum 3 years of professional 3D character modelling experience
- Excellent working knowledge and experience of Photoshop, Maya, 3D MAX, Zbrush or other industry standard 2D/3D applications (your characters will be imported for use in Unity3D engine, and we have no obligation on the tool you use if you can give us the characters in the format that we need)
- in depth knowledge of all character modelling stages
- great experience and knowledge of light, rendering, colour, composition
- perfect knowledge of texturing and UV mapping
- efficiency and punctuality is a key KPI of the successful candidate
- knowledge and experience on composition and post production is a plus
- experience on rigging is another plus

What will you design?
- Character concepts/sketches
- High poly 3D models (that will be used for TV promos and youtube videos)
- Low poly characters that will be used in the game
- applied textures and UV mapping

Previously on "alphawave Games hires all the people", we're working on our first and upcoming game "Wavelength" and this time...it's personal.

Well, not really. We're actually looking for a freelance 3D Environment Artist.

So what's all this then?

So here's the materia slots we're looking to fill (ie. What you'll be doing)

- Referencing the art from the 2D Concept Artist while open to coming up with new ideas to add on to already pretty awesome concept art
- Understands modular asset creation (We really shouldn't need to say this, but just to be sure
- UV mapping/wrapping of said meshes
- Creating all the necessary textures for said mesh
- Work with the Creative Director and Concept Artist to create awesome looking vistas and areas

- Can adhere to deadlines

- Incredible knowledge on pop culture (music, animations, film, tv) and art, understanding the how's and why's of different art styles and techniques in order to translate from Art to English

I wish to apply for a Junior 3D artist position at Real Serious Games . I hold a Bachelor of Interactive Entertainment (major in animation) and eager to work in the field of CG animation and video games. I have completed a 3 month Internship with Planet 55 studios in 2D animation working together with the staff on character animation to character sheets/style guides as well as 3D modelling. Throughout this internship, I gained practical experience working in a team to produce an animation.

I have various expertise within the computer graphics (CG) field including; animation, character modelling, character rigging, character texturing and 3D compositing. I have experience using Autodesk 3Ds Max even though I predominantly use Autodesk Maya.

My cheerful and friendly nature allows me to interact with other working colleagues which I consider to be an asset to my personality.My knowledge with computer literacy is excellent and adaptable when it comes to learning new software. I am very observant and confident when it comes to problem solving and an active listener. I am able to prioritize my time efficiently and meet strict deadlines as well as being punctual, organised, and being multitask. Hi again, we're back! If you missed Chapter 1 in "alphawave Games hires all the people", we're working on our first and upcoming game "Wavelength" and this time, we're looking for an outstanding 3D Character Artist coupled with Animation and Rigging skills.

So what's the deal with job tasks?

Here's what your Gambit list should look like (ie. What you'll be doing)
