Games Programming Lecturer

SAE Institute is seeking a qualified games programming professional for the position of Games Programming Lecturer. The primary role of the lecturer is to undertake teaching and course development responsibilities for the Games Programming Bachelor program, which have been informed by professional practice and other scholarly activities.

Develop and update unit content and guidelines.
Integrate training material into practical applications.
Research and introduce games related events, conferences and exhibitions.
Work with other departments to build team effort projects.
Deliver ongoing documentation of students’ progress.
Provide ongoing improvement recommendations for the level of education.
Provide enhanced teaching and learning support for students at risk.
Develop and publish professional work in the field of game development.
Familiarity with animation, physics and gameplay code in general;
3+ years of professional level C# or C++ programming;
Expertise in game development using Unity 3D engine ;
Strong familiarity with OOP design principles;
Bachelor’s degree in computer science , games programming or a related discipline;
Experience in 2D/3D graphics engine programming in games;
Knowledgeable in 3D rendering algorithms.
Strong knowledge in Artificial Intelligence and Maths programming for Games
* Excellent command of spoken and written English is required.
Desired skills / extras
Experience with agile development methodologies;
Mobile games/app development experience.
Past experience with teaching is preferred though not essential.
