  • Activision has officially announced Doom 2 for the game boy advance, to be developed by Torus Games. "DOOM II supports co-operative play so gamers can team-up to rid the world of hellspawn, or go head-to-head with up to four other players in classic Deathmatch mode where it's every marine for himself."   • I found this months ago, but I have to mention it. It's an essential file for any modeller using 3d studio Max and Character Studio 3. Madcap Studios (from Sydney) have an awesome free download from their site - it's a motion capture file called skinning test.. what the model in that file does is a set of limb and body stretches so you can spot any edges that need turning, or any joints that need fixing / extra polygons to be added. As I said, it's an essential file, so go get it here :)

  • 3D Action Planet has a great detailed look at Citizen Zero, a MMORPG/MMOAPG by Aussie developers Microforte..   • Just got this from Zdnet. "Dimsdale & Kreozot are independent Australian games developers currently working on a title called Tito the Bouncing Alien, a quirky platform action game. This is a project as-yet without official backing, which is attracting interest from games publishing houses around the world. Dimsdale & Kreozot are actively shopping for financiers."
