IR Gurus Developing Heatseeker

In an IGN interview with Ben Board (Producer from IR Gurus), it's revealed that the Melbourne developer of "Heroes of the Pacific" is working on a new air combat game called "Heatseeker". It's set for a March 2007 release on the PSP, PS2, and the Wii.

Ben: This game is about fast combat, shattering explosions, instant maneuvers and sexy planes. In Heatseeker you'll be at twenty kills before the opposition has got clearance to taxi. We have concentrated on accessibility, clarity and simplicity in the flight model and interface, to make sure the player has one thing in mind: lock on to them before they lock onto you

    Q. How much hype can you put into one article?
    A. Waaaaay too much.

That said, looks like it has the potential to be a whole lot of fun.

Telling a game company they can't hype would be like telling a priest he can't play with the alter boys.
