I'm not sure how often you see these things on sale, but I got the word last night that a complete Motion Capture System is up for sale on eBay with a starting bid at the bargain price of $30,000. Now, there's no doubt that having your own motion capture system will save some big bucks in the animation department, so perhaps this will be a good investment for one of our local game developers.
The specs for this system look pretty impressive, although I'm in no way clued in on anything motion capture related other than that you have to wear one of those funny suits with ping pong balls attached.
