Fuzzyeyes Studio Announces Relocation to Expanded Headquarters Given Period of Record Growth

Fuzzyeyes Studio Pty Ltd today announced that the Company has relocated its newly build headquarters building to a significantly larger facility to accommodate record growth this fiscal year. The new building expansion of facilities in Brisbane Technology Park is also meant to accommodate Fuzzyeye's stated strategic plan to opportunistically roll-up competitive next generation titles and other assets. The relocation followed Fuzzyeyes' recently reported record financial results for the second fiscal quarter of 2007, highlighted by the Company growth in global sales for its title, HotDog HotGal. The title was recently launched in the North America market retitled as Hot Dog King. Currently, Fuzzyeyes is venturing into next generation territory with its latest IP entitled, 'Edge of Twilight'.

    There's no need to apologize, just ease up on the quick quips and attacks.

    I'm sure some people think I'm making a concerted effort to mask negative comments on Sumea, but everyone just wants the level of discussion here brought back up. If you have anything negative to say, make sure it's constructive. If you want to make any claims, at least post some info to back it up. Saying "company X is dodgy or person X is a so and so", and leaving it at that leaves nothing for intelligent debate and won't be tolerated anymore.

    I do appreciate everyone's contribution to the comments area, and constructive criticism is more than encouraged, but in recent times the comments area has been a haven for some really spiteful attacks on developers and individuals, where allegations and claims are not even backed up.

    Comments like #5 are also what I find worrying also, because I think the goodwill and reputation of this site that has been built up over the years has been eroded by the kind of trolling mentioned earlier. Anyway, enough of the rambling...

    Well said Souri. Personally I don't tend to post here much (mostly read up on news items) but my comment above was just a reaction to the first few comments which were just random attacks on an easy target (as Jacky pointed out). It's fair enough to comment and criticize but it should happen in good taste otherwise what's the point really? I've read a lot of comments sections on news items that deal with Australian developers and sometimes it gets out of hand.

    On the other hand, keep up the good work Souri :)

    Also, would like to point out that being part of this small local industry I feel it our duty to support each other. Sure, I can point out what's wrong with any Aussie game and I've done so many times, the quality isn't right up there yet, but I still support and wish all local devs the best of luck cause we need it. A shrinking industry is exactly what we don't need. So stop being so single-minded and have a look around, we are all in the same boat more or less.

    Man, professionally speaking, Fuzzyeyes made me. Here I was. no education, no experience, I could draw women okay and that was pretty much it. I wasn't even looking to get into games, I wanted to try comics when a friend from there recommended me. No studio would have even looked at me then, but they put me on and I have to say I sucked at it. But then they needed a Designer and the Art lead suggested me and I took it.

    Their inexperience frustrated me, and my inexperience frustrated them, but they were all great people, I had no problems with any of them, we all got along well and we had a good laugh. There was always laughter there, always. The artists joked around, the coder's joked around, they were nuts actually, and the COD LAN sessions were great. Even the CEO himself was a friendly joking guy and he knew how to have fun, and thats a hell of a lot more than I can say for a hell of a lot of studios. MOST studios in fact.

    I got to Design a game for christ sake, and the only rules I really had was it had to be about hot chicks runnin a food store, I mean how many Designers on here can claim that level of freedom?, Yeah it turned out quite disjointed and just, weird, but it shipped, and a lot of places don't get anywhere near that far. If I got a second go at HotDogs with what I know now, with that same level of freedom, I bet I could make that game a madman.

    I used to can Fuzz a lot myself but I've grown a lot in the last year and professionally speaking, I owe those guys a hell of a lot, and it pisses me off when people bag that place. They're trying their best with what they have, no one will help them, no one will support them, and when I applied to big places up in Brisbane a couple just blatantly hacked on me and the guys because they had a some lame ass console title that I have to say is a lot more boring than HotDogs. F*^king Pricks, I remember you, and you know who you are, and we both remember how you couldn't look me in the eye after I told you where to stick your job. I bet you're still there doing the same damn thing too.

    If someone wants to hack on Fuzz some more go right ahead, I'm right here and ready to reply.

    My very first post on this here site was actually a slash at their new game in developement. And at that stage I was wrong. My apology is aimed at the fact that I had no right to make such a quip. Each time I have made a remark against Fuzzy it felt right to. I forget that they do need the support. I retract my statments aimed directly at the Studio. You may not see the reason to Souri, but I think i have to. Comments unwarrented, I didn't mean to offend you Jackydablunt, i got huge respect for you and how you respond to others on this site.

    Apologies guys...

    Weird thing is it kinda fits with the name I first used... Really didn't think that would happen.

    The new studio is amazing, The game we are working on is Epic Magiver awsomeness, and almost all the time you have complete creative freedom on what your working on,
    and we're sh*t hot at call of duty now.

    While we're attempting to raise the standard, any chance you could implement a decent spell-check before you post? Even the Fuzzyeyes press release read like it was written by someone who failed year nine English. Don't get me started on the follow-up posts (even by Souri)...

    Firefox has a built-in spell-checker (make sure u get the proper English one, not the American default one!)- which works on web text boxes, and it's free.

    Love the site... also love the English language.

    Actually, I do use Firefox, and did notice that one word was spelt incorrectly. That was 'apologise'. So I went back and changed it to apologize to make FF happy. :/ I think I will look into changing the spell-check to use the English version though, but I don't think my post was that much of a disaster :).

    Having read the Fuzzyeyes press release again though, I do have to agree with you there.

    At the recent Supanova nerdfest, in which alot of queensland games companies showed off their stuff, Fuzzyeyes had some concepts for their upcoming title, Edge of Twilight, and to be honest i was blown off my feet by the sheer awesomeness of it. From a little talk i had with one of the members there they gave me a good idea of what they were working towards, and how the game was going to work. It sounded like a very origional interesting concept, and that seems to be what Fuzzyeyes do best, take a stab out there with something different

    I hope that they are still working on the concept.... Jacky and myself argued ourselves blue in the face coming up with it.... unless they have completely changed it my now.. it was called no days no nights.. but I like the new working title... Hope they also keep out names on it too... what ya think jacky??

    Oh I think it's all Andy's game now man :) I don't know too much about it, I think it still sorta emulates the same thing we came up with but he would've improved it. It's in good hands though, he's a good Designer, just as long as people keep to their roles and actually let him design. They really need to switch to a better production practice though like Agile, and have someone there willing to enforce it and hold people to their jobs.
