Poster #1 & 2# how do you mean? Have Krome confirmed this?
  • 5. Anonymous Coward - Thu, 15 Feb 2007 10:21:21Z
Krome Studios isnt based in Melbourne, but what else is incorrect? How about providing some info rather than being vague.
  • 6. Neonix - Thu, 15 Feb 2007 10:22:58Z
who the heck is Blackman? what a noob
  • 7. Tonic - Thu, 15 Feb 2007 10:45:59Z
Neonix: It's in the article if you care to read it: "Hayden Blackman, project lead on The Force Unleashed..." I doubt he's a n00b ;)
Poster #5: You're right but Sumea clear this up: "Krome Studios Melbourne (previously called Atari Melbourne House before being acquired by Krome Studios) is porting..."
Poster #1 and #2: How about you tell us what is incorrect rather than dismissing the entire article?
  • 8. Anonymous Coward - Thu, 15 Feb 2007 10:49:13Z
    LOL AWESOME WTB truth
  • 9. Yug - Thu, 15 Feb 2007 10:57:40Z
So who's doing the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions?
  • 10. Souri - Thu, 15 Feb 2007 13:39:35Z
#7, I thought it was Krome Studios Melbourne doing the port considering that they mentioned the Melbourne studio (which was Atari Melbourne House) and that that studio is pretty well known for pushing the PS2 / PSP hardware.

Ok, I've got confirmation that this news item was incorrect, so I've removed it.

Don't blame me, blame The Courier News :(

Just because the official announce hasn't happened doesn't mean this is wrong - Krome is doing the Star Wars PS2 version
  • 13. Anonymous Coward - Thu, 15 Feb 2007 15:59:2Z
    And how would you know?
  • 14. Anonymous Coward - Thu, 15 Feb 2007 16:30:38Z
Hmm Courier mail removed the article earlier today from their website, and now they put it back up.

I think Lucasarts has an internal studio working on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.
  • 17. Anonymous Coward - Fri, 16 Feb 2007 18:30:15Z
The Courier News have pulled that page. Did some journalist make that story all up? O_O
  • 18. Anonymous Coward - Fri, 16 Feb 2007 21:41:36Z
I guess we'll just have to wait to see Krome announced as the ps2 and psp developer of the game to make up our minds on that hey :)
  • 19. pp - Sun, 18 Feb 2007 13:42:12Z
I don't know what all the fuss is about - Krome has been listed as the developer on IGNdotCom for PSP and PS2 for nearly a week now and there is no signs of this been pulled down - someone in Krome must have had their knickers in a twist - happens when you believe you are more important than you are - in the big games world who cares about a company that is porting a game

That's a bit harsh pp. Sounds like a decent gig to me. What's with the hostility towards Atari/Melbourne House ?
  • 21. Anonymous Coward - Sun, 18 Feb 2007 21:13:13Z
Hmm, the hostility seems more towards the new owners of melbourne house krome. Shrugs.
  • 22. Anonymous Coward - Sun, 18 Feb 2007 23:25:59Z
People seem to hate Krome for some reason. Damn that company actually managing to have some degree of success!

Tall poppy syndrome. Typical of Australians.

I guess we'll have to wait till late 007 to try Krome's PSP and PS2 game. I can't wait tho. Yes PS3 and 360 is being created inhouse at Lucas Arts. Enjoy
