AIE Melbourne shows off new look student Campus

Location

Local Vocational Education and Training (VET) provider, the Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE) has recently undergone a comprehensive makeover to its Campus and training facilities on Queens Road, where a passionate and talented group of students are learning the necessary skills to enter the multi-billion dollar game development, animation, simulation and visual effects industries.

Co-CEOs John and Vicki De Margheriti commented...

It has always been paramount to ensure our students have the best environment in which to learn. We have made a huge personal and financial undertaking and the facilities at each of our campuses in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra have been renovated this year.

Our upgrade of Campus facilities includes air-conditioning, server rooms, presentation rooms and student recreation areas. Our training facilities are equipped with the latest hardware and software including dual flat screen monitors in the student labs.

AIE has recently expanded across the entire 8th floor of the Atari building and secured a long term leasing arrangement to ensure solid grounding for their future in Melbourne. Other state of the art improvements to the campus include new Wacoms for artist use and hire, new ergonomic chairs, furniture and appliances - not to mention a selection of new console games and a fresh coat of paint! More improvements are planned and currently underway including an updated library facility and robust IT infrastructure.

AIE’s three Campuses are holding an Open Day on Sunday the 22nd of August from 10am to 3pm. Visit http://www.aie.edu.au for more information on your local Campus.

Industry personnel or anyone with a keen interest in the game development, animation, simulation or visual effects industries also have an open invitation to stop by the campus for an informal tour of the facility. Appointments can be arranged through AIE Reception on 03 9820 8201.
