What's IN a Game?

Thanks to Truna for letting me know about this specific part of the Straight Out Of Brisbane fesitval that is happening December 2nd to 12th, 2004. SOOB is a festival of independent and emerging arts, culture and ideas, and this part of the festival should interest you budding Queensland game developers!

What's IN a GAME? - panel and show and tell...

Venue: TC Beirne Centre Friday 3rd Dec. 6.00 pm

The 'what's in a game?' panel consists of guests from local games companies, the local chapter of the IGDA, local games design institutions, programmers and artists involved in game like media explorations. A social networking event to open the games content area for SOOB, come and have your say on some of the odder games, meet, socialise and have a rant...

On the floor: broken toys by leon van de graaff
On the screen: panel member's favourite games for discussion
On the walls: shadowplay

There's lots more to the festival, like panels on Machinema, lan's, workshops, even a Mama arcade retro session! Check out the Straight Out Of Brisbane website for all the details!
