Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment recently announced that Sidhe Interactive will be developing the game of the movie of the cartoon - Speed Racer - for Wii, DS to be released next year. A PS2 version is slated for release with the DVD.
The film adaptation of the 1960's cartoon, will be developed by the Wachowski brothers, mostly known for their writing and direction of The Matrix trilogy.
Speed Racer is an exceptionally creative property and teamed with the Wachowski brothers? vision it makes for action-packed racing gameplay,? said Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Development and Production, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. ?The game will capture the intensity of the racing in the film to give gamers and movie fans a chance to take the wheel after they experience the film.
