I'd kill the water underneath, just post the guy.Throw up the mesh and wireframes too.

Got the hair fixed on his belt I see.

Looking sweet, the feet are a little blockish, a bit more curve and scruch on the toes should fix that up in nothing flat. Very nice stuff. The pants remind me of Cloud Strife.

Skin looks a little purple to me and yeah i agree with malus loose the water ... or better yet make it yellow and call it sand :)

Pretty cool model, maybe a bit more texture detal wouldnt go astray. also the shader on his face looks a bit plasticy. Try putting a falloff on the specular channel, with toward/away from the camera z axis. this will give it a sort of fake translucency.
