In my infinite newb wisdom, i cannot for the life of me get my images to post in the exhibition forum, hence the reason why i post links instead.
Do the pics have to be a certain format ?

You wrap your link with the (img) tags, using square brackets.. like:
(img)http://www.whatever.com/pic.jpg(/img)
but with [] instead of the ()'s ... I just did a test and it looks like your free webhost provider (topcities.com) doesn't allow images to be linked at all from their servers.
