ActorX

Submitted by LiveWire on

ActorX is the exporter required to get characters (and in the case of Maya static meshes) exported into unreal.

The UDN has exported for several version of Max and Maya, including the latest versions;

To export static meshes from Max simply go File > Export and save them as ASCII format (*.ASE) (you dont need ActorX installed for this)

i would recomend people check out the rest of the UDN as well as it's got tutorials for almost anthing you would need to know. not as easy to follow as the videos on the DVD in some cases, but there's a lot more there.
