Right Pedal announces mentors and partners, accepting applications now!

More information on the newly launched Right Pedal Studios has been released which gives some additional insight on the assistance and services provided for successful applicants on their Games Accelerator program. Small teams of 2 to 5 developers are encouraged to apply for the Right Pedal Games Accelerator to receive working capital of up to $50,000, office space, mentorship and an alumni program for the development of their iOS or Android mobile game.

Right Pedal is the new games accelerator managed by veteran games developer, John Passfield and seeded by River City Labs founder Stephen Baxter. They've partnered with Griffith University and Pitcher Partners who'll provide additional access to goods and services, and some exceptional mentors will also be assisting in guiding the teams in the accelerator, including...

  • Morgan Jaffit, co-founder of Defiant Development (publishers of Ski Safari)
  • Dan Vogt (co-founder of Halfbrick)
  • Matt Hall, founder of KlickTock and developer of Little Things Forever
  • David Zwierzchaczewski, Application Engineer for Media and Entertainment at Autodesk
  • Gordon Moyes, convenor of Griffith University’s game program and producer of the Destroy All Humans! series
  • Pras Moorthy, product manager of Kixeye and co-owner of the Mana Bar

Applications are open to all Australians, and if you're considering on applying, you'll need to do so fairly soon as the first teams will enter production in February/March 2013.
