Travel grants for India's FICCI Frames Convention 2012

In conjunction with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Screen Australia is offering travel grants of up to $2,500 for producers with advanced projects to attend the upcoming Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Frames Convention in Mumbai, 14–16 March 2012.

Frames is a three-day event for broadcast, digital entertainment, animation and gaming with nearly 2,000 Indian and 800 foreign delegates expected to attend.

Global Game Jam 2012 open for registration

The Global Game Jam is on! For 48 hours over the weekend of Jan 27-29 a group of over 100 game designers, developers and artists - both amateur and professional - will come together for an intensive Jam Session, forming small creative teams to design and prototype innovative game ideas.

Graduates will be showcasing their work and will be available to discuss their projects to everyone.

NSW Games developers available at GAME for chat this Saturday

GAME is commencing tomorrow at the Macquarie University in NSW. The three day festival is a celebration of game culture and will be covering a whole range of game related activities, including the playing of awesome games (multiplayer Minecraft, Mario Kart competition), discussion panels, and learning a whole bunch about making games as well.
