AFL Premiership 2007 Coming Late June

It's certainly been quiet with news of the next AFL Premiership game, but a Sony press release has announced that the latest incarnation of the series is heading our way next month on the 28th of June for the Playstation 2. IGN Reviews Heatseeker

New games for the Nintendo Wii seem to be a bit scarce at the moment, so it's of great news that an Australian developed game is heading out to help fill in that void very shortly. Heatseeker, developed by IR Gurus, has just been reviewed over at IGN UK, receiving a fairly solid score of 7.5 out of ten. IGN highlights some of the good qualities of the game including its fun gameplay, as well as its flaws like Heatseeker's lack of background variety and some of the more tedious missions...

Gamespot Interviews Ben Palmer from IR Gurus

Ganespot caught up with IR Gurus executive producer, Ben Palmer, at the 2007 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco last week to chat about what IR Gurus is up to. It looks like the now 100-strong IR Gurus studio is finishing up on Heatseeker and well way into the development on a big next-gen title. Not much further detail was revealed about that unfortunately, but Ben did have this to say about Aussie developers...

Aussie made Work and Play Pilot Available

GameSetWatch reports on an Aussie made sit-com called "Work & Play". It's a cross between "The Office" and "The IT Crowd", so if you love those shows, I'm sure you'll be entertained by this. The show is centered around a fictitious game company called "Beepford Games", and the first pilot episode has just been released. It's very humorous and it was filmed entirely at the IR Gurus studio!
