Enhancements to EPOCH include:

ULTRA DIFFICULTY - Not challenged enough? Play the whole campaign on Ultra Difficulty: harder enemy waves, trickier enemy variants, & a new Ultra achievement.
STORY - More characters with new intercepts to collect, more back-story to unravel in this ruined world.
VISUALS - Upgraded graphics for your robot with new armor and weapon meshes

Game Connect 2011: Creating EPOCH for iOS with UDK

The pros and cons of working with a tool like UDK for iOS development. Using UDK to it's strengths, not trying to make game it's not suited for. Our development methodologies, prototyping and fate iteration of core game play ideas, using Engine artist tools like Matinee and Kismet (Scripting).

ANDREW JAMES - Uppercut Games
Andrew received a degree in Industrial Design from Newcastle University in 1996. He worked as an animator and later Art Lead for a number of years at Brilliant Digital Entertainment in Sydney. In 2000 he moved to Los Angeles to setup a new animation studio for BDE, focused on creating music videos. In 2002 Andrew moved to Canberra to work as Lead Artist at Irrational Games/2K Australia, after leading the team of artists on many award winning projects, in 2009 he became Art Director of the Studio. In early 2011, Andrew left 2K Marin to co-found Uppercut Games.

Uppercut Games releases EPOCH for iOS

Uppercut Games, the new indie studio formed by Ed Orman, Andrew James and Ryan Lancaste, promises to bring AAA quality to mobile and downloadable games. With a combined experience of 38 years in games development and past titles including Fallout: Tactics, Freedom Force, Tribes: Vengeance, Bioshock, Bioshock 2, and XCOM credited to their names, it would seem that AAA quality games is in their genetics.

Andrew James, Director at new Canberra-based games start-up, Uppercut Games, has given a sneak peek of some gorgeous concept art and in-game shots of their UDK engine powered iOS game, EPOCH. Andrew, who was previously Art Director at 2K Marin Canberra, describes how the team desired to create new and original worlds in their games, and how the setting of EPOCH was what drew the team to choose it for their first title.

Uppercut Games announces "EPOCH" for iOS devices

New independent game studio, Uppercut Games, have just announced their first game, Epoch. While a specific release date has yet to be confirmed, the action-combat game is headed towards iOS devices during the fourth quarter of 2011.

Epoch is powered by the Unreal Engine and is looking pretty impressive so far. A trailer has been released showing off some of the frantic action, while Uppercut Games are promising the following features...
