Surfer Girl correct about THQ Studio Australia and Warhammer rumour

Mysterious industry insider and blogger, Surfer Girl, has been the source for many interesting game development related rumours and claims ever since her blog "Surfer Girl Reviews Star Wars" roared onto the scene last year, and it seems she has got it right with a certain rumour about THQ Studio Australia working on a Warhammer 40,000 title.

I'm sure the job ad by THQ Studio Australia looking to hire for a Warhammer 40,000 project last week on Tsumea didn't escape too many of you. It was first picked up by IGN AU and then spread through many games related websites and Warhammer fansites as many were delighted by the news on a very much loved IP.

One person who most likely wasn't too surprised was Surfer Girl herself who happened to have broken the news on her blog some five months ago! On Tuesday, March 11, 2008, she wrote a very brief but unmistakable note that...

3) THQ Studio Australia's third-person action title is based off Warhammer.

Surfer Girl has been the source of rumours on another Australian game developer, Team Bondi, where she revealed many interesting game features of the highly secretive L.A Noire. Whoever Surfer Girl is, she's gained some notoriety on many gaming sites, receiving this comment from GameSetWatch...."Whoever Surfer Girl is, they have access beyond normal industry player or even high-end press levels".
