Torus Games Going Next Gen

Company

PALGN recently caught up with producer at Torus Games, Kevin McIntosh, to have a chat about what the studio is currently working on, and what the future holds for Torus. It was made clear that while the focus will continue to be on games for the handheld consoles, like the upcoming Spider-Man: Battle For New York, they're beginning to indicate more interest in creating titles for other consoles, such as the next-gen platforms with several games being developed, including those for the Wii.

Torus is currently working on a RPG title and a racing title for next generation platforms. Torus currently supports approximately nine platforms, from mobile through to the Nintendo Wii.

When asked on what to expect from Torus for the next twelve months, Kevin went on to disclose that several titles will be seen for the Wii, and that many more next-gen titles are on the horizon.

We're in a really strong position at the moment and we're hiring the right people. We're growing, but only when we find the right people to join our team. We're being careful about who we let into our team. In the next 12 months you'll see a number of titles from Torus on the Wii. We have two in development, with at least two others in discussion. You'll also see us supporting other platforms, but those are still being worked out at this stage. We'll continue to support all platforms, our tools will become stronger, our games will become richer and hopefully at the end of the day, so will we.
