The prestigious International Mobile Games Awards nominees have just been selected and announced, and Melbourne's own Firemint has been included in two categories! They are:
Excellence in Connectivity - Real Racing by Firemint (Australia)
Excellence in 3D - Real Racing by Firemint (Australia)
Real Racing has got to be a shoe in for the Excellence in Connectivity category! Also worth a mention is:
Aikon Ghost Hunter by Jon Hayward (Australia), which has been nominated in the "Best Real World Game" category. There are some interesting facts about Firemint and their record with the International Mobile Games Awards that's also worth noting..
- Real Racing is one of only two games nominated in more than one category this year (Excellence in 3D and Excellence in Connectivity)
- Firemint is the only developer to have won IMG Awards in both 2006 (Mega Monster) and 2007 (FIA World Rally Championship)
- Firemint is one of only three developers to have nominees in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
