Mid - Senior Unity Games Artist

Location: Remote (AEST/AEDT working hours highly preferred)

Role Overview:

In this role, you'll be pivotal in supporting our flagship title, Raini: The Lords of Light, a web3 trading card game, alongside contributing to upcoming title, Lucha Throwdown. You'll have the opportunity to expand your skills within Raini Studios while working on exciting new projects. This position calls for a blend of creative and technical proficiency, a thirst for continuous learning and personal growth as an artist, and a genuine passion for game development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create 2D and 3D assets that meet project requirements regarding quality and style.
• Demonstrate a solid grasp of form, silhouette, and color in artistic creations.
• Possess understanding of industry-standard software for base-level asset creation and implementation.
• Understanding of graphic design fundamentals and tools to create promotional materials.
• Open to leveraging AI generative tooling to create assets.
• Apply optimization principles appropriate to the discipline, identifying and implementing optimization strategies during production.
• Identify visual inconsistencies, propose solutions to the team and carry them out independently.
• Resolve visual issues autonomously, using concepts or existing assets as references.
• Communicate technical considerations with other departments, supporting and building upon the project's vision.
• Demonstrate an understanding of art fundamentals basics.
• Understand the differences between environment, character, and prop art and the different techniques and processes used in these disciplines' respective pipelines.
• Act according to the order of priority, supported by notifying leads about dependencies.
• Experience with animation workflows and have an understanding of the fundamentals of animation.
