ITwire has reported that Microsoft’s Xbox 360 has commenced releasing free ‘upgrades’ to consumers, with over 85 new features and enhancements being made available over Xbox-Live, which can be reached with a premium Gold service, or the free Silver service, making these upgrades completely without cost. Potentially the most exciting of these enhancements is the support of 1080p High Definition output for games and movies, meaning that anyone with a High Definition TV (HDTV) with 1080p output will be able to take advantage of this feature.
