Richmotion Live Goes Gold

Company

(press release)

9th October 2006

Award winning mobile technology company ndWare has announced that its content creation tool Richmotion Live has now gone gold.

Richmotion is a technology suite that enables anyone to create media-rich, interactive content for a large range of mobile phones. The Richmotion Live release includes an easy to use PC editor, comprehensive user guide and samples. Various example implementations are included, such as quiz games, animated comics and single play animations.

The editor is instantly familiar to anyone who has used PC compositing tools. An animation is composed by dragging existing images directly on to a visual canvas. Objects can then be moved around or resized within the timeline window to control playback behavior. Interactive functionality can be added with just a few clicks of the mouse. Richmotion supports sound, animation and a variety of powerful interactive elements. It does not require any form of scripting.

When the user is ready, a single button press compiles the content into a stand-alone Java application which can be downloaded to a handset. The complexity of the compile process is completely hidden from the user, making it usable by anyone.

The Richmotion micro-player is small enough (less than 20k) to be embedded with the content, enabling a variety of powerful distribution models. It is designed to run on the full range of MIDP2 compatible handsets, which gives it a penetration rate far in excess of competing products.

Richmotion Live is the ideal solution for creating animated comics, quizzes, promotions or even prototyping more sophisticated products. A free evaluation version of Richmotion Live is available for download now, or it can be purchased online for $295 US.
