The case for increasing Australian government investment into Games

If there was one picture that could be used as a good argument on why the Australian Government needs to invest in local games development, it would be that sobering image above. It was tweeted today by Film Victoria's Brad Giblin.

There's no question that the games industry in Australia is an export oriented business. While the local market will always be an important one for Australian developers, the vast majority of our sales will come from overseas consumers.
