Mobile Phone Gaming the next bubble?

The Australian IT has an interesting article on mobile phone game development, as the third generation of mobile phones become increasingly popular...

"Its manager, Luke Beard, said the proliferation of 3G services in Australia could spur a world-leading development industry, especially given Australia's existing reputation for games development.

"It allows Australian developers to get a foot in before many other countries that don't have a 3G network.

"There's a very high possibility that Australia can be in the forefront of mobile development," Mr Beard said. "

Yeah I think it has been around for a while now too. I read that there are a couple of games already in development for mobile phones e.g. Final Fantasy: Before Crisis

Yeh, it has been around for quite a while. It had a pretty dismal launch here in Australia, with a tiny handful of people adopting the service. It's only really starting to pick up now, however. The article's saying that now is the time to capitalise on things...
