DVM Not to Acquire Perception

Company

Thanks to Cassandra for posting about this in the comments area. It looks like the proposed aquisition of Perception by Digital Voice and Media (DVM) has not went through...

Dear Sirs

Proposed Aquisition

The directors of Digital & Voice Media Limited ("DVM") wish to advise that, following completion of due diligence, DVM will not be proceeding with the proposed acquisition of shares in Perception Pty Ltd.

DVM will continue to focus on its digital and media technology business but will also continue to review projects which will add shareholder value.

You can download the pdf of the announcement at the following link...

You mean they've only now discovered that there isn't even a dev team, employees, or any technology to speak of?

I guess they finally got around to paying Rosebery office a visit - the lack of employees, workstations, and desks, and the cobwebs and tumbleweeds were a kind of giveaway I suppose.

Well, that's what due diligence is for. What is dumb is that an announcement was even made before due diligence took place.

True, but don't underestimate the power of bullshit, clearly Ben's main(only?) talent. Remember he did talk MGM into signing over the Stargate license to a total unknown, which in itself is quite an achievment. Of course, bullshit will only get you you so far.....
