Perception Deal on Australian IT

AustralianIT has an article on the major deal that Perception just recently announced, giving an insight on what it means to NSW.

"A SYDNEY-based company has signed an agreement to develop and publish video games worldwide, creating 100 jobs and injecting $5 million into the NSW economy.

Video games developer Perception, based at Brighton Le Sands in Sydney's south-east, signed the agreement for worldwide distribution with Vienna-based video games publisher JoWooD Productions Software. NSW Premier Bob Carr welcomed the deal.

"This is great news, and expands our IT and computer entertainment industry," Mr Carr said in a statement.

He said the agreement would strengthen NSW's "expertise and participation in the industry, as well as creating jobs, and also earn the company valuable export dollars"."
