Sydney Opera House announces major gamer event for June 2007

Giant screens... A full orchestra and choir... A superstar conductor... And the epic sounds of video games. This is PLAY! A Video Game Symphony.

After sell-out shows across North America and Europe, PLAY! A Video Game Symphony is heading to the Sydney Opera House in June 2007 for an Australian exclusive.

Brought to vibrant life by the Sydney Symphony under conductor and grammy award winner Arnie Roth, PLAY! is an innovative new concert series featuring award-winning music from over 20 blockbuster video game titles: Final Fantasy, Castlevania, Metal Gear Solid, The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros., World of Warcraft, Lost Odyssey, Sonic the Hedgehog, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross? and many more.

As well as a full orchestra, choir and pipe organ, the concert features stunning gameplay sequences projected on giant screens suspended above the orchestra.

    @ #3 - You complain, but Brisbane NEVER gets this stuff. Melbourne at least gets these sorts of events sometimes thanks to Eminence.
