Expression of Interest: 3D Computer Animation Lecturer at UTS

Location

The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT) at UTS is seeking expressions of interest to lecture and tutor in the '3D Computer Animation' subject, which is offered to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Industry, creative and teaching experience is highly valued for this position. This is not a full-time position and may suit individuals who want to teach in a University setting in addition to their regular activities. The subject typically meets for a 2-hour lecture and 1-hour lab session for 14 weeks. The final project for students is a short animation, showing their understanding of modelling, animation setup, animation, textures, lighting, and production techniques. We currently use Maya on Windows machines as part of this subject.

Particular duties for this position will include:

- Teaching activities, including tutorials, lectures and workshops
- Consultation with students as required
- Marking and assessing of student work in the subject
- Subject coordination activities
