Ok, it was a bit of a pain but I've successfully migrated the forum database and software over from Snitz to the much better Web Wiz Forum. There were two problems through the process, however. The first problem was that there was no easy way to transfer your passwords. They would need to be decrypted from Snitz then encrypted into what Web Wiz uses.
What this means that for all current forum members is:
* You need to reset your password. Click the log in link in the forum and then on "forgotten password". You'll have to enter your forum username and email address, and a new password will be sent off to you. You can then log in and change your password to whatever you like.
So why change the forum? Snitz was hanging the website and the only forum updates over the last few years were minor security patches. All the features of the previous forum (member avatars, file attachments, who's online, private messages, and simple things like quoting text) were painfully 'modified' in, where as these features and many more come as standard in Web Wiz.
At the moment the forum looks a bit bland, but I'll be customising the look of it over the next few days/weeks. You'll also notice that there are banner ads in the forum - I'm in the process of paying the fee to get rid of those ads.
