More Memory for the Wii

SanDisk has announced a special edition caliber of memory for the Nintendo Wii, which will be made available in December for Australia. The white Wii memory cards will be shipped in 512MB, 1GB and 2GB sizes.

The cards will be able to hold all the necessary stuff – saved games, downloaded content, movie files, photos, music, etc – meaning you can store much of your Wii data externally, and still be able to access your pictures or music with portable ease.

one thing: can you still transfer this "data" between the internal memory and this card? and also: what cards work with the Wii? do they need to be transflash?

I'm pretty sure the Wii memory cards are just standard SD cards.

Indeedy they are, these are nothing more than Wii branded SD cards.

Any SD card should work fine in the Wii (although if you're inclined to use teh mini variet i'd suggest getting a converter so it fits ;)
